She Says… Muuuuuch Better

After the puking incident was behind us (well, and ahead of us, but we didn’t know that at the time), we had a fabulous weekend in the mountains. Owen felt muuuuch better as soon as he was out of the car.

We went on a short hike to an amazing waterfall. Owen loved every minute of it. Especially the beginning where he got to drink from a big boy water bottle while we all got ready. And, of course, saying “Hi!” to everyone who passed us on the trail.

We used a backpack that one of our new neighbors gave us. It was a little tricky to figure out all of the straps and buckles, but Owen seemed pretty comfy riding on Daddy’s back!

Seeing the waterfall was awesome. The water level was so high that the waves were ROARING.

On the way back, Owen wanted to walk. And walk. And walk. I thought he was going to do the whole hike home himself!

After the hike we celebrated by stopping at an apple mill and getting some freshly pressed cider, and, more importantly, cider donuts!

They were beyond delicious. Owen certainly enjoyed his taste. He immediately grabbed my hand and tried to stuff the whole thing in his mouth.

Owen even got a ride on Grampy’s motorcycle! But in true Owen fashion, he didn’t want to ride, he wanted to DRIVE.

You know, in the garage.

Thank you to Grammy and Grampy for a wonderful weekend.

  5. Awesome pictures! Where is that waterfall? I took a hike somewhere in NH that looked just like that when I was a kid, and I’ve been trying to find it ever since then. Does the trail go parallel to the waterfall for a bit? Glad you had a great time and Owen looks like he forgot all about being sick. 🙂
