She Says… What Are You Pushing?

In addition to eating things all day long (per yesterday’s post), Owen’s new favorite activity is PUSHING things. His little legs were made for walking, and when he can’t find the finger or legs of an unsuspecting person to grab on to and take off running, he pushes random objects across the floor. He’s like a little bulldozer recently. Folding chairs, toys, laundry baskets, empty cardboard boxes, etc.

The other day I caught him doing this.

He did it for at least 15 minutes. That’s precisely 7.3 laps from our new front hall to the kitchen to the dining room and back around to the front hall.

Still going…

Not a bad workout for either one of us, really.

awww! how quickly they develop. the best part is that they’re just so easily entertained. everything is new and fun…most things at least. can you imagine just pushing something back and forth in the house lol they just bring joy to everything they do. love that you took a video. 20 years from now it will be so cute to share.

  2. haha. I love how Schnitzel peaces out in that first video.

  3. this is exactly what meredith fills her day with too. she’s super jealous of such an open, carpet free space. rugs are her arch nemesis.

  4. This is how they teach little kids to skate at “hockey” lessons! …Well, with 5 gallon plastic buckets from Home Depot. But, the same exact idea. Very cute!

  5. Who needs the Fisher Price walker with all it’s bells and whistles?! He’s moving so well and seems so confident!

  6. we are in the same stage here [even though blaine can walk he looooves pushing things too]. sunday we had a push toy thing on wheels and he was pushing it around the yard in giant circles for over an hour. it was so cute to see how far he’d venture away from all of us but then circle back around eventually. he especially likes obstacles; hoses to go over, bumps, gravel, tall grass. cheap babysitter!

  7. So cute! At the end of the first clip it looks like he contemplates ditching the tub for the folding chair and then decides against it. Choosing what to push is serious business. Hahaha

  8. These last two posts have sorta tired me out just reading them, so I can only imagine what you’re feeling. (Gonna be interesting when we have TWO BABIES doing this stuff, hahahaha.)

Owen’s hair seriously melts me. It is amaaaaazing!! 🙂 xoxo

  9. Eli LOVES pushing things, too! Our kitchen chairs are constantly being moved around. He loves to push chairs so much that he sometimes gets upset when we see a chair in public and he isn’t allowed to go push it!

  10. Aw, he’s so cute!! Can’t wait to have one of my own 🙂
